Paper Book Sales Up 2.4%

According to Geek Wire, the Nielson BookScan reported a 2.4% increase in sales of print books in 2014.

As a lover of reading from bound, old-fashioned paper and ink books, I grew excited when I saw the article “Paper is back” on Geek Wire reporting this.

The article lists a number of reasons why print books are preferred over ebooks. I have tried ebooks, and though I would agree that they are more convenient, especially for traveling, I have a strong preference for paperbacks and hardbacks. I like to be able to touch the paper and turn the physical pages. I also think I pay better attention and retain more details when I read from a physical book.

What’s your preference? Digital or Paper? and why?
