Have you ever wondered who you write like?
Critique Circle shares a bunch of writer tools on their Facebook page, and a few days ago they shared a a link to a fun text analyzer that they found. It’s gratifying to be told you write like someone famous. It might not be accurate, but it’s fun nevertheless…
The first writing sample that I analyzed said I write like Ursula K. Le Guin! I had enjoyed reading her Utopian short story “The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas.” It’s been a long time, so seeing her name made me want to go find the short story and read it again soon!
I played around and tested some more of my writing samples and got James Fenimore Cooper (author of The Last of the Mohicans) and Neil Gaiman (author of The Ocean at the End of the Lane),
I tried a beginning draft of a creative nonfiction piece and apparently it is in the writing style of Stephen King! This draft is going to be included in the The Bestiary of People We Know and Love and Hate, a book scheduled for publication in April!
Check out the website I Write Like and copy and paste your text in there to see who you write like!
Also, go to the Facebook page of The Bestiary of People We Know and Love and Hate and keep checking here for more information about this book that will be published soon!
